Dunia Baru to host opening party at Kata Rocks Rendezvous

Dedicated to increasing knowledge of cruising and superyacht charter within Asian waters, Indonesian charter yacht S/Y Dunia Baru will host the opening party at the 2016 Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR).

The yacht will attend the inaugural KRSR over 10-12 December, before attending the 16th edition of Asia Superyacht Rendezvous from 16-18 December. The 51m phinisi-style sailing yacht’s owner and crew are looking forward to full days of socialising, celebrating the region’s beautiful cruising grounds and sharing their stories of adventure in the area with other attendees and media.

Owner of Dunia Baru, Mark Robba, is a passionate supporter of the superyacht industry across the region and is pleased to be able to launch the Rendezvous with an event in the yacht’s extensive entertainment areas. “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone onboard Dunia Baru to usher in the first night of the Kata Rocks Rendezvous. This is such a special part of the world to cruise and enjoy for superyacht owners, and events like the Rendezvous are a great way to drive collaboration with, and knowledge of the local superyacht climate,” says Robba.

The Rendezvous opening party will kick off as guests come onboard the yacht, just as the sun begins to set into the waters off Kata Rocks Resort. Indonesian-based DJ, Rozan, will be on deck to entertain guests, while other surprise performers are sure to delight guests through the evening.

"We are delighted to host the opening party onboard the majestic Dunia Baru. We look forward to welcoming our invited guests and launch KRSR in style in Phuket,” says Kata Rocks and Infinite Luxury CEO, Richard Pope.

Over three days, the Kata Rocks Rendezvous will treat guests to yacht-hops, a Feadship Owner’s Dinner, demonstrations of marine toys and other highlights.

The opening party will be a precursor to the start of the following morning's superyacht cruise which will take the fleet to Pansea beach for a beach BBQ. Following the two rendezvous, Dunia Baru will make her way to the stunning cruising grounds of Myanmar, where she will be available for charter through 37 South.

Dunia Baru is available for charter in Myanmar December to March through 37 South from US$94,500 per week plus tax, port fees, cruising permit and visa. Contact charter@37southyachts.com with enquiries.
